Omoa – This is one of the oldest towns in Honduras and is full of rich and exciting history. This area is slowly becoming popular with backpackers and budget travelers.
Tela – Located only 90km from the main international airport is a super quiet and laid back beach. This beach is home to the “Tourist Police” training station and as one would imagine, the area is crime free.
Trujillo – Another great laid back coastal town, Trujillo, has plenty to offer. Aside from the outstanding beaches, there are plenty of other things to do in the town and surrounding cities. National parks, great bars, and cheap digs are just some of the things you will find here.
Cayos Cochinos Islands – This is the place to go if you are looking to explore nature. Diving, snorkeling, hiking, exploring, and animal watching are but a few of the things you can do here.
Bay Islands – The bay islands are probably the most popular set of islands and beaches in all of Honduras. Here you will find picture perfect, white sand beaches, with clear blue water. This is a hot spot for diving, as it has one of the alrget reefs in the world.
